3. 3Discussion on 2024 General Fund Budget

   Reviewed updates to the preliminary 2024 General Fund budget and property tax levy, including salary/benefit schedule adjustments and a proposed Recycling Fund transfer to the General Fund for vehicle usage.

   Council held a work session to review updates to the preliminary 2024 General Fund budget and levy. The minutes reflect salary and benefit schedule adjustments (including a previously vacant position filled at slightly higher pay and adjusted anniversary dates) increasing the budget by $6,326, and adding a budgeted Recycling Fund transfer to the General Fund for vehicle usage increasing revenues by $15,000; taken together, these changes were described as decreasing the levy by $8,674, reducing it to $3,017,496. The consultant also provided an Enterprise Funds Budget Summary with totals for revenue, expenses, and cash balance estimates.
