A. Officers. At its first meeting of a calendar year, the Planning Commission shall elect a Chairperson and a Vice-Chairperson from among its appointed members, each for a term of one year. B. In the event any appointed member fails to attend either three consecutive meetings or 25 percent of those meetings held in a calendar year, a vacancy may be declared to exist by a majority vote of the City Council. The vacancy shall be filled as provided in Section 2-1-2.
The City Clerk or Administrator, Building Inspector, City Planner, City Engineer, and City Attorney may act as staff for the Commission and may be required at times to attend commission meetings. City staff may provide the Commission with information as requested by the Commission.
